Expedite Malta Properties respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website, particularly through our enquiry and property-request forms, and how we use it.
Who is responsible for your data?
Expedite Malta Properties is responsible for the personal data submitted through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email expeditemaltaproperties@gmail.com or call 79585347 / 79585349.
What information do we collect?
- Contact form: your name, email address, telephone number, property information or reference (if provided), and the message you send.
- Free property valuation form: your full name, telephone number, email address, property location and property type.
- Property request (“Property Search not found”) form: your name and surname, contact number, email address, property type and preferred locality or area.
- Search and account features: the criteria you enter when searching for property. If you create or use an account, the site may also hold your account details, information you add to your profile (such as contact details, profile image and optional social links), saved searches, favourites and properties you submit.
- Technical information: when you use the site, our website and hosting services may process information needed to deliver and protect it, such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages requested and the time of access. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for essential site functions and, where enabled, measurement of site use.
Please do not put sensitive information in an enquiry unless it is necessary for us to deal with your request.
Why do we use it?
- To answer enquiries, arrange contact or viewings, provide valuation information, and discuss buying, selling or other property services you request. We generally rely on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.
- To use the property type and locality preferences you submit to look for potentially suitable properties and contact you when a match becomes available. We rely on your request and our legitimate interest in providing the follow-up you asked for. You can ask us to stop these updates at any time.
- To provide account, saved-search and other site features you choose to use, and to maintain website security and performance. We rely on providing the requested service and, where appropriate, our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
- To meet applicable legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims where necessary.
We will not treat a general enquiry as permission to send unrelated marketing. Where consent is required for marketing or non-essential cookies, we will request it separately; you may withdraw it at any time.
Are fields required?
Fields marked as required on a form are needed to process that particular request. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to respond or match a property to your preferences. Optional information helps us understand your requirements but is not compulsory.
Who may receive the information?
Relevant members of Expedite Malta Properties may access enquiries. Information may also be processed by service providers that support our website, hosting and email, and shared with professional advisers or other parties when necessary for the property service you request or where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
Some service providers may process information outside Malta or the European Economic Area. Where a transfer requires safeguards under data-protection law, we will use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us if you would like information about a specific transfer and its safeguards.
How long do we keep it?
We keep enquiries and property preferences only while reasonably needed to handle the request and relevant follow-up. If you become a client, we may retain relevant records for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for applicable legal, accounting or claims periods. Account information is retained while the account is needed, subject to legal requirements. You may ask us to delete your information or stop property-match follow-up, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in data-protection law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise a right, contact expeditemaltaproperties@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You can also complain to Malta’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), or to the supervisory authority in your usual place of residence or work in the EU.
Security and changes
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data and limit access to those who need it for the purposes above. No method of internet transmission is completely secure. We may update this notice when our forms, services or legal obligations change; the date at the top shows the latest revision.
